A beautiful example of a popular style of dining chair from the mid-late 20th Century. Hand-made and likely hand-carved given discrepancies in pattern form on the crest plate. Spindles into the seat and turned legs. Picked up at a small house clearance in nothern Taiwan’s historic Beitou district making it likely introduced to Taiwan by US Forces post-WWII.
