A traditional plum-shaped vase dating to the late-Qing Dynasty in Taiwan – circa 1870-1890. Minyao refers to the piece being locally made for common use in a farming household rather than for imperial or ruling households. Purchased from an old farming family on Taiwan’s north coast overlooking the East China Sea.
