Miscellaneous sumo collectors cards featuring 1930s – 1950s sumo wrestlers from Japan. Include several prominent yokozuna or ozeki of the period including Kagamisato and Yoshibayama.
Other cards are from very early 20th century Kabuki scenes and include some of Japan’s most famous actors of the late-1900s, 1910s and early 1920s.
One World War One postcard is also including in the collection – from a German soldier to a possible sweetheart in Hamburg. Dated September 1918, two months before the end of the war.
